Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a control method thereof. The mobile terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention selects a content to be used in an application among one or more contents displayed on a touch screen and at least one application to be run by analyzing a voice signal received through an audio input unit in an entry to a voice recognition mode and runs the application by using data on the content selected according to the analyzed voice signal.
