The invention relates to a cable tap device, 70, for a Cable TV (CATV) network comprising a microstrip directional coupler, 72, connected between input, 16, and output terminals, 16, 18. The device may further include a tilt compensating circuit, 80, connected between the microstrip directional coupler and the splitter device.
