A device includes a barrel body 1 which movably holds a focus lens in an optical axis direction, a focus ring 3 provided on an outer circumferential part of the barrel body 1 and having a regulated rotation range, a rotation position detecting unit which detects a rotation position in the rotation range of the focus ring 3, a touch sensor 2 provided on the outer circumferential part of the barrel body 1, and control means which perform absolute position control of moving the focus lens to an absolute position corresponding to the rotation position detected by the rotation position detecting unit and relative position control of moving the focus lens to a relative position corresponding to a sliding amount on the touch sensor 2 on an outer circumferential surface in a circumferential direction. |
