<p>The ventilation characteristics of an electrical equipment cubicle are modified by installing a baffle (30) on the interior surface of the cubicle partially masking the ventilation system (27) at least a part of the apertures, in order to adapt the ventilation characteristics to the number of heat-generating components installed in the cubicle. The baffle 30 is made up of a number of leaves 32, 33, 34, 35 connected together by frangible webs 36,37,39, so that one or more leaves can be removed to increase ventilation as further heat generating components are installed in the cubicle. The frangible webs may have different breaking strengths, such that the leaves can be removed in a predetermined order according to increasing breaking strength of the webs connecting them. The baffle also includes securing means 38a, 38b to allow it to be attached to interior components 28a, 28b of the the cubicle.</p> |
