1. An apparatus for mixing two streams of catalyst comprising:
a riser; a first catalyst conduit in communication with the riser; a second catalyst conduit in communication with the riser, the second catalyst conduit being in downstream communication with the riser; and an insert in said riser between said first catalyst conduit and said second catalyst conduit, said insert obstructing direct passage between said first catalyst conduit and said second catalyst conduit and a wall of said insert being spaced apart from a wall of said riser.
