The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for vision inspection using image segmentation. The apparatus for vision inspection using image segmentation according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a divided image generation unit for generating multiple divided vision images by dividing a visual image of an object to be inspected into predetermined areas; a binary image generation unit for generating an binary image of the object to be inspected by performing binary data processing for pixel values of the divided visual image based on a predetermined threshold value; a defect determination unit for deciding an area for inspection in the binary image and determining whether the object is detective by comparing the area for inspection with predetermined reference area information. According to the present invention, the apparatus for vision inspection divides a visual image into multiple images and performs overall vision inspection by inspecting the divided images individually, thereby reducing a time for vision inspection.
