In one embodiment, a plurality of data conversion modules are bound to a processing engine and a first messaging data set is provided to a conversion module from the plurality of conversion modules. The messaging data set conforms to a messaging format. A structured data set based on a first data portion and a second data portion of the first messaging data set are received and value different from the value of the first data portion is stored within a first element of the structured data set. The value of the second data portion is stored within a second data element of the structured data set. A second messaging data set is then generated based on the structured data set.

1. A method of altering a messaging data set, comprising:
binding a plurality of data conversion modules to a processing engine; providing a first messaging data set to a conversion module from the plurality of conversion modules, wherein the first messaging data set conforms to a messaging format; receiving a structured data set based on a first data portion of the first messaging data set and based on a second data portion of the first messaging data set, wherein the first data portion includes a first value and the second data portion includes a second value; storing a third value different from the first value of the first data portion within a first element of the structured data set, wherein the first element of the structured data set is associated with the first data portion; storing the second value of the second data portion within a second element of the structured data set, wherein the second element of the structured data set is associated with the second data portion; and generating a second messaging data set based on the structured data set, wherein the second messaging data set conforms to the messaging format, wherein a first message of the second messaging data set is utilized to initiate a communication session and wherein a session key that is received via the communication session is stored to an element of the structured data set and utilized by the remaining messages of the second messaging data set during the communication session.
