METHOD FOR SIMULATING OPEN PENETRATING DOSED CEREBROSPINAL TRAUMA IN EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS

A method for the simulation of an open penetrating dosed cerebrospinal trauma consists in that a thin needle is introduced into interarch space, puncture of spinal pia mater is carried out and destruction of spinal cord is performed by dosed injection of a heparinized autoblood to spinal cord tissue at the level of the T11-T12 spinal cord segments of the pubertal male rats. General anesthesia is used with mixture of solutions of xylazine (15 mg/kg) and ketamine (70 mg/kg), access to the specified spinal cord segments is formed by perforation of interarch ligament by needle through which autologous heparinized blood obtained from a caudal vein will be injected, immersion of the needle in the tissue of spinal cord before formation of locomotory equivalents in both hind feet and injection of autologous blood in amount of 0.1 ml. the completion of surgical intervention and postoperative care of animals is carried out in the usual manner.
