1. A calorimeter comprising:
a reactor for receiving a sample, a reactor jacket surrounding the reactor; and a temperature control device for regulating an internal temperature within the reactor, the temperature control device comprising: an individual reactor-heating device for providing an amount of heat, the reactor-heating device being thermally connected to the reactor by way of the reactor jacket, an individual reactor-cooling device for removing an amount of heat, the reactor-cooling device being separated from the reactor-heating device and is thermally connected to the reactor by way of the reactor jacket, the reactor-cooling device being a thermoelectric cooling element that is also thermally connected to a coolant having a substantially constant inlet temperature independent of the internal reactor temperature; a temperature sensor, the temperature sensor arranged in the reactor and adapted to measure an actual reactor temperature; and a control unit having at least one operating program and at least one temperature control program, wherein the at least one temperature control program is designed for adjusting the actual reactor temperature to a given reactor set temperature, and wherein the at least one operating program is for regulating the heat provided by the reactor-heating device and the heat removed by the reactor-cooling device, while permitting electrical current to be provided, at any given time, to no more than one of the reactor-heating device and the reactor-cooling device, and wherein the at least one operating program is designed for one or both of a time-optimized adjustment of the reactor set temperature and a power-optimized adjustment of the reactor set temperature. |
