an anode connectable to a current tap; a charging medium in electrical contact with said anode; and a switching device configured to stop a charging operation of the electrochemical cell upon activation by said charging medium; wherein said anode defines a cavity containing said charging medium, said anode having a first section and a second section separated by an insulating space such that the first section and the second section are not in electrical contact; and said switching device is configured to be activated by said charging medium occupying said insulating space. |
