A blade angle adjustment drive for a wind power plant having an electrical converter, an electric motor electrically coupled to the converter, and a monitoring unit which monitors the operation of the converter and identifies a malfunction in the operation of the converter. The operation of the converter may be interrupted at least temporarily based on the malfunction. An interruption prevention unit is selectively operable to prevent an interruption in the operation of the converter by the monitoring unit when the bade angle adjustment drive is in an emergency operation state.

1. A blade angle adjustment drive for a wind power plant, comprising:
an electrical converter; an electric motor electrically coupled to and powered by the converter; a monitoring unit for monitoring the operation of the converter to identify a malfunction in the operation of the converter, and for selectively interrupting the operation of the converter based on the malfunction; and an interruption prevention unit selectively operable to modify and limit control operations performed by the monitoring unit to prevent the monitoring unit from causing an interruption in the operation of the converter when the blade angle adjustment drive is in an emergency operation state, the interruption prevent unit configured to block a first signal indicative of a load being experienced by the electrical converter, and to supply in place of the first signal a second signal which characterizes an unloaded state of the electrical converter.
