A wearable device assembly has a housing supporting a controller, display and indicator system thereon. The controller has at least one sensor wherein activity of a user wearing the device is detected. The controller selectively illuminates the indicator system to indicate a level of activity of the user.

a user input device; a first display; a second display separately controlled and physically distinct from the first display; and memory storing computer readable instructions that, when executed by the wearable device, cause the wearable device to:
receive user input requesting display of an activity metric for activity performed by the user and detected by the wearable device;display a first indication of the activity metric in the first display; anddisplay a second indication of the activity metric in the second display in conjunction with displaying the first indication in the first display.
