determining a first compression method of a first set of values for a parameter in a first time period based on a first variation tendency of the first set of values in the first time period; compressing the first set of values using the first compression method; determining a second compression method of a second set of values for the parameter in a second time period based on a second variation tendency of the second set of values in the second time period, the second time period being longer than the first time period, the second variation tendency being different from the first variation tendency; and compressing the second set of values using the second compression method.
