A method for treating skin comprising topically applying to skin in need thereof a composition that includes an effective amount of Silybum marianum extract and Momordica grosvenori fruit extract, wherein topical application of the composition treats the skin, wherein the Silybum marianum extract is a hydroalcoholic extract and the Momordica grosvenori fruit extract is a hydroglycolic extract,
wherein treating skin comprises retaining skin moisture, treating chapping, flaking, cracking, or dry skin, restoring moisture, controlling skin oil, controlling excess oil production in sebaceous gland, treating wrinkles, treating age spots, reducing skin irritation, reducing erythema, or treating itchiness, and wherein the skin is dry skin and wherein the composition further includes an effective amount of Linum usitatissimum seed extract and hydrolyzed algin, wherein the Linum usitatissimum seed extract is a hydroglycolic extract and wherein the hydrolyzed algin is obtained from Laminaria digitata or is an aqueous solution of an oligosaccharide produced by controlled enzymatic depolymerization of membranous polysaccharides from Laminaria digitata. |
