PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing control system capable of reducing cost as a whole by allowing an energization mechanism of each VTC on an intake side and an exhaust side to have different structure according to each heat-resistant demand.SOLUTION: Electric VTCs 04 and 05 on an intake side and an exhaust side having the same basic structure are configured in such a manner that valve timing of an intake valve and an exhaust valve is changed by energizing an electric motor 12 via slip rings 26a and 26b and also via second brushes 30a and 30b sliding on them. While a resin plate 22 on the intake side VTC, resin holders 23a and 23b and a holding body 28 for holding the second brushes are formed by a polyphenylene sulfide resin material having excellent heat resistance, a material of the holding body and the like of an exhaust side VTC corresponding to the intake side is formed by a nylon resin material cheaper in cost.
