PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle gate way that makes it possible to easily add or replace an ECU.SOLUTION: When receiving a relay request frame from an external device or ECU, a gate way retrieves a physical address and so on of a relay destination from a routing table based on the physical address of ECU or the like of the relay destination set in the frame (S105). When the retrieval succeeds (S110: Yes), relay is carried out based on the result of the retrieval. On the other hand, if the retrieval fails (S110: No), the gate way performs broadcast transmission of a frame instructing transmission of the physical address, and so on to the relay destination (S115). When receiving the physical address and so on from the relay destination, they are registered in the routing table (S125), and relay to the ECU or the like, which is a relay destination, is carried out.
