PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device for an electric vehicle capable of appropriate charging even if a user performs incorrect operation for a start operation member during charging.SOLUTION: A charging device for an electric vehicle comprises an incorrect operation detector for detecting that a vehicle user performs incorrect operation for a start operation member, and a charging controller for maintaining charging if incorrect operation is detected during charging a battery mounted on the vehicle from an external power source provided outside the vehicle.
