PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle input device used for inputting and operating capable of precisely detecting a contact position made by a user.SOLUTION: The input device includes: an infrared light emitting element 42; and a control circuit 32 connected to a camera 41. The control circuit 32 comperes the brightness at each position of an infrared image acquired by the camera 41 to a threshold value TH1 and a threshold value TH2, which are calculated using a background light brightness BG at non-contact to detect a contact position on a control panel 54. With this, since the threshold values TH1 and TH2 are calculated by using the background light brightness BG at non-contact, the contact position made by a user can be precisely detected. |
