PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hollow pipe material which can securely ensure that there is no flaw on an inner circumferential surface while preventing degradation of yields.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a hollow pipe material includes: a manufacturing process of processing an original material into a cylindrical hollow pipe material W of which an inside is hollow; a grinding amount determining process of determining a depth of a flaw, which can be detected by an inner surface inspection device 1 for inspecting an inner flaw existing on an inner circumferential surface of the hollow pipe material W manufactured in the manufacturing process, as a grinding amount of the inner circumferential surface to the hollow pipe material W; and an inner circumferential surface grinding process of grinding the inner circumferential surface of the hollow pipe material W based on the grinding amount determined in the grinding amount determining process.
