PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boom type work vehicle in which a hydraulic device of a work machine is driven with an electric drive source, and in which a portal frame can be effectively used as an installation place of an electric control unit for controlling the electric drive source and the electric control unit can be easily installed without affecting other equipment.SOLUTION: There is provided the boom type work vehicle in which a hydraulic device 6 for driving various hydraulic actuators for a work machine mounted on a vehicle 1 using an electric drive source 3, and a turning post 21 of a boom 22 is installed in a space 14 between a rear surface of a cabin 11 and a front surface of a portal frame 13 arranged in a standing condition in the front part of a cargo bed. An electric control unit 4 for controlling the electric drive source 3 is supported by the front surface of the portal frame 13 in a surplus space lateral to the turning post 21 in the space 14, and thereby the portal frame 13 can be effectively utilized as an installation place of the electric control unit 4, and further the electric control unit 4 can easily be installed without affecting the other equipment. |
