PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner which allows easy adjustment of the position of a detection unit to be mounted on a housing. ! SOLUTION: An optical scanner 1 includes: a light source which emits a light beam for exposing a photoreceptor; a deflector which deflects the light beam emitted from the light source so that the light beam scans the photoreceptor; a detection unit 230 which generates a signal for controlling the timing to emit the light beam for scanning the photoreceptor from the light source, and includes a reflection member 231 for reflecting the light beam deflected by the deflector, a light-receiving sensor 232 for receiving the light beam reflected by the reflection member to generate a signal, and a holding member 233 for integrally holding the reflection member and the light-receiving sensor; and a housing 220 on which the light source, the deflector, and the detection unit are mounted. !
