Provided are a method for controlling content displayed on a screen and a display device using the same. According to the present invention, the method for controlling content displayed on a screen by a display device comprises the steps of creating an eye image for a user using a camera module when content is displayed on the screen; determining a staring point of the user on the screen using the eye image; determining coordinates on the screen corresponding to the staring point; and determining, as a focusing area, content corresponding to the coordinates among the content.
