<p>The present invention relates to a marker composition for diagnosing diabetes including an S179A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) portion of human estrogen-related receptor gamma (ERRγ) genes, a kit for diagnosing diabetes including the marker composition, and a method for providing information about the diagnosis or pathogenesis possibilities of diabetes using the marker composition. By confirming the allelotype of the S179A SNP portion of the human ERRγgenes, the diagnosis or pathogenesis possibilities of diabetes can be estimated. A second-type diabetes patient in which the allelotype of the SNP portion is T/G statistically has a remarkably high ahungered or post cibos (2 hours) blood glucose and is usually fat compared to a second-type diabetes patient in which allelotype is T/T. Accordingly, the marker composition of the present invention can be usefully used in diagnosing genetic sensitivity to second-type diabetes and inducing an appropriate treating method.</p> |
