LED POWER SUPPLY AND LED LIGHTING APPARATUS USING THE SAME

An LED power supply includes a rectifying unit which rectifies AC power and provides a light emitting unit including one or more LEDs with the rectified AC power; a converter which boosts power outputted from the rectifying unit and supplies the boosted power to the light emitting unit; an inductance device whose one terminal is connected to an output terminal of the light emitting unit; a sensing unit which is connected to the output terminal of the light emitting unit to be parallel with the inductance device, and which detects a change in the voltage of power supplied to the light emitting unit; a switching control unit which generates a control signal, based on the voltage change detected by the sensing unit; and a switching unit which selectively connects the other terminal of the inductance with a ground terminal according to the control signal of the switching control unit, wherein the reactance of a smoothing device included in the converter is decreased and the reactance of the inductance device is increased, according to increase of frequency of the control signal.
