PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of an unusual sound arising from the degradation of a pressure reduction valve for reducing the pressure of a fuel gas.SOLUTION: A fuel gas supply train of this fuel cell system is provided, in a fuel gas supply passage between a fuel gas tank and a fuel cell, with a pressure reduction valve, a cutoff valve mechanism capable of adjusting a flow rate of supply to the fuel cell of a fuel gas having had its pressure reduced by the pressure reduction valve, and a pressure-reduced gas pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of the pressure-reduced fuel gas between the pressure reduction valve and the cutoff valve mechanism. When, while the cutoff valve mechanism is kept open until a prescribed length of valve-open time elapses from when the cutoff valve mechanism was closed, a change greater than or equal to a prescribed threshold occurs to the pressure of the fuel gas measured by the pressure-reduced gas pressure sensor a prescribed length of standby time after the cutoff valve mechanism was opened, a controller of the fuel cell system limits a supply flow rate of the fuel gas to the fuel cell so that the change is reduced to or below the threshold by controlling the cutoff valve mechanism. |
