PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder and an ink jet recording method in which generation of joint streaks can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A specified discharge port row among plural discharge port rows is such that the number of discharging of another discharge port row arranged at more first direction side than the specified discharge port row is less than the number of discharging of another discharge port row arranged at more second direction side than the specified discharge port row. Included are discharge quantity adjusting means which adjusts the ink quantity discharged from first discharge ports so that the ink quantity discharged from a specified number of the first discharge ports which are arranged at one side edge area in a specified direction of a specified discharge port row during the scanning to a first direction is reduced relatively to the ink quantity discharged from the first discharge ports during the scanning to a second direction, and discharge control means which controls so as to discharge the ink from the first discharge ports according to the adjusted ink quantity. |
