PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kneader which maintains a proper sealed state and improves durability during operation.SOLUTION: A kneader is characterized by comprising: a chamber 2 where a mixing room C for storing a mixing material W; a mixing rotor 4(5) that is arranged by penetrating the chamber 2 and rotates around the axis P1(P2) to agitate the mixing material W in the mixing room C; a sealing member 22 that seals between the chamber 2 and the mixing rotor 4(5); a lubricant supply part 25 that supplies the chamber 2 and the mixing rotor 4(5) with a lubricant; a detector 26 that detects a quantity of state varying with the sealing state between the chamber 2 and the mixing rotor 4(5); and a controller 27 that controls a supply amount of the lubricant O from the lubricant supply part 25 on the basis of the detection result in the detector 26.
