<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear for an engine, having improved mountability on the engine.SOLUTION: The valve gear for the engine includes a first recessed groove 51 and a second recessed groove 52 provided in the inner peripheral face of a cam element via a protruded part 55 in the axial direction, and a fitting member to be fitted into the first recessed groove 51 before the cam element is moved in the axial direction and to be fitted into the second recessed groove 52 after the cam element is moved in the axial direction. The second recessed groove 52 has an inclined surface 54 which contacts the fitting member 43ii riding over the protruded part 55 to impart thrust to the cam element. The protrusion amount of an axial cam is set to be smaller than an axial distance L between a center Xi of the fitting member 43i fitted into the first recessed groove 51 and a center Xiii of the fitting member 43iii fitted into the second recessed groove 52.</p> |
