PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information reception device that can prevent capacity shortage of a traffic information storage section, while setting aside traffic information useful for a route calculation.SOLUTION: Upon securing an area for making new traffic information received by a traffic information reception section 11 stored in a traffic information storage section 12, a traffic information storage control section 13 of a navigation device 10 determines traffic information on a road most distant from an own vehicle position out of traffic information on a road not used in a route calculation as traffic information lowest in a degree of importance, and deletes the traffic information from the traffic information storage section 12. Further, when only traffic information on a road used in the route calculation is stored in the traffic information storage section 12, the traffic information storage control section 13 determines traffic information on the road most distance from the own vehicle position out of the traffic information on the road used therein as the traffic information lowest in the degree of importance, and deletes the traffic information from the traffic information storage section 12. |
