PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce overhead caused by feeding back propagation channel information in a radio communication system, in which one base station performs space multiplex transmission to a plurality of terminal stations, so as to improve an effective throughput.SOLUTION: A plurality of terminal stations 101-1 and 101-2 transmit to a base station 100 a known signal for propagation channel estimation. The base station 100 estimates propagation channel information from the received known signal, to calculate a transmission weight from the estimated propagation channel information. The base station 100 then transmits data to the terminal stations 101-1 and 101-2 by space multiplexing, using the calculated transmission weight.
