PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generation device and a static eliminator that have a uniform ion balance distribution, and that can make ions reach widely with a high ion concentration.SOLUTION: An ion generation device comprises: first and second ion generation means in which a cation generation electrode and an anion generation electrode are alternately arranged in a row; a high-voltage power supply applying a high voltage to both the ion generation means; blowing means feeding ions generated at both the ion generation means to the exterior by carrier wind; and a wind path wall partitioning in a flowing direction of the carrier wind. Both the ion generation means are arranged substantially parallel to each other, and arranged from an upstream side of the carrier wind in the order of the first and second ion generation means in the flowing direction of the carrier wind. The polarities of ions emitted from the respective opposed ion generation electrodes of both the ion generation means are reverse to each other. The wind path wall is arranged so as to be separated for each positive and negative electrode pair making a pair over both the ion generation means. The high-voltage power supply alternately applies a voltage to both the ion generation means. |
