PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that air is mixed into a printing material when the printing material is derived via a porous member in a conventional cartridge.SOLUTION: A cartridge includes: an ink storage part 70 provided inside a case 60; and a supply port 80 for supplying ink stored in the ink storage part 70 to a printer. In the supply port 80, a porous member is provided for deriving the ink. In the case 60, a through-hole 85 is provided through which an inside and outside of the case 60 communicates with each other. Inside the case 60, a ventilation passage 111 is provided for connecting a space S inside the supply port 80 with the through-hole 85. In the cartridge, a meniscus withstand pressure of the porous member is greater than an absolute value of a difference between a pressure applied to an inside of the porous member when the ink is derived via the porous member and a pressure applied to an inside of the ventilation passage 111 when the ink is derived via the porous member. |
