PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a target detection only by any of an up-chirp and a down-chirp of an FMCW (a frequency modulated continuous wave) radar device.SOLUTION: A radar device includes: a transmission section 1 that transmits an FMCW signal; a signal processor 2 that generates a beat signal from a reception signal and a transmission signal, and specifies a beat frequency from the beat signal; a beat frequency tracking section 3 that performs a tracking process of the beat frequency; the same target determination section 4 that determines whether or not a target is the same target, using a distance approximate value and a velocity approximate value obtained fo each chirp; a target information computation section 5 that computes a distance and velocity of a target pair undergoing an association as the same target; and a target output determination section 7 for an up-chirp and a target determination section 8 for a down-chirp that, when a target not deemed to be the same target is present outside an area where the target is simultaneously detected by the up-chirp and the down-chirp, using the distance approximate value of the target and the velocity approximate value thereof, directly outputs a distance of the target and a velocity thereof. |
