PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner configured to prevent an image defect, such as black dots or black streaks, due to charging failure or cleaning failure even after long-term repeated use, while maintaining excellent image quality, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the toner, and a process cartridge. ! SOLUTION: Toner contains a toner base particle and an external additive. The external additive includes a composite having a core-shell structure including a core formed of boron nitride and a shell layer formed by covering the core by use of silica. The toner can be prevented from being stuck to an image carrier, and can maintain excellent image quality even after long-term repeated use.
