<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer having high flexibility of adjustment for sounds output from a brass instrument.SOLUTION: A silencer comprises: a main body 10 including a cylindrical part 11 mounted so that its outer peripheral surface comes into contact with the inner peripheral surface of a bell of a brass instrument and a closure part 12 for closing one end 14 of the cylindrical part 11; a performance adjusting pipe 20 in which a first end 20a is open inside the main body 10 and a second end 20b is open outside the main body 10; and cross-sectional area adjusting means for adjusting the cross-sectional area of a breath flow path for introducing the breath of a player who plays the brass instrument into the main body 10.</p> |
