<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a fixing device in which the fixing device can be configured to be removably attached to the image forming apparatus without increasing the size of the fixing device, even when the fixing device is provided with a plurality of temperature sensors.SOLUTION: A fixing device 20 is provided with a plurality of temperature sensors 24 so as to detect a temperature of a fixing member 21 (or heat source 23) at a plurality of positions in a width direction. The fixing device 20 is further provided with a unit-side connector 27 that is brought into contact or separated with/from a body-side connector 115 of an image forming apparatus body, so as to allow transmission and reception of signals between the image forming apparatus body and the fixing device 20. The signals are transmitted and received, as serial signals, between the image forming apparatus body and the plurality of temperature sensors 24 via the body-side connector 115 and the unit-side connector 27.</p> |
