发明名称 METHOD FOR MEASURING THICKNESS OF SLAG FLOATING ON MOLTEN METAL SURFACE
摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring the thickness of slag without relying on an operator and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A method for measuring the thickness of slag uses a microwave distance meter which transmits a frequency modulation microwave having a center frequency of 24-32GHz and an amplitude of 8-10GHz of frequency modulation from an antenna and receives the frequency modulation microwave. The microwave distance meter calculates a first time from transmission of the microwave until receiving of a reflection wave at a molten metal surface and a second time until receiving a reflection wave at a slag surface, and calculates a calculated value c(t1-t2)/2 from the first time t1, the second time t2, and the velocity c of the microwave in the atmosphere. A correction formula is obtained from the measurement result of the calculated value about slag of a known thickness in advance, and a value obtained by correcting the calculated value continuously measured by the microwave distance meter by the correction formula is set to the thickness of the slag.</p>
