PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equally disperse reinforced fibers in a thermoplastic resin when made into a formed part by coating the surface of a reinforced fiber bundle in a manufacturing apparatus for a thermoplastic resin strand reinforced with long fibers uniformly with a necessary minimum amount of modifier.SOLUTION: The manufacturing apparatus 1 for a thermoplastic resin strand reinforced with long fibers of this invention, which is a manufacturing apparatus 1 for a thermoplastic resin strand reinforced with long fibers, comprises a modifier coating part 11 for coating a reinforced fiber bundle F with modifier A which improves adhesion with a thermoplastic resin and a resin coating part 4 for coating the surface of the reinforced fiber bundle F with the modifier A in a molten state, is characterized in that the modifier coating part 11 comprises a debundling part 12 for debundling to expand the reinforced fiber bundle F and a modifier extrusion part 13 for extruding the modifier A in a molten state over an entire region in a direction where this reinforced fiber bundle F is expanded. |
