PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable water to be measured to be collected in a collection area of the water to be measured such as river, lake, sea, and water supply and sewerage systems and enable measurement of a degree of transparency of the collected water to be measured by a simple operation.SOLUTION: A transparency meter 1 is formed by a straight rod body whose whole shape is long, and enables the water to be measured to flow into the inside so as to be accumulated therein, and includes: a long cylindrical member 2 formed with a transparent material so that an accumulating state of the water to be measured which flows into the inside can be viewed from the outside; a suction pump 7 attached to an upper opening part 4 of the long cylindrical member 2 and enabling the inside of the long cylindrical member to be operated to a negative pressure state; and a suction drain valve 12 attached to a lower opening 3 in a state that the lower opening 3 of the long cylindrical member 2 is closed and enabling the water to be measured to flow into the inside of the long cylindrical member 2 from a lower end of the long cylindrical member 2 in a state that the lower end is immersed into a water sampling place by putting the inside of the long cylindrical member 2 into a negative pressure state by the operation of the suction pump 7 attached to the upper opening part 4. |
