The invention provides a spherical NiP particle having excellent monodispersity of the particle itself and preparing method thereof. The reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle having constituent with Ni as the main body and P (preferably 1-15 wt%). The constituent comprises Cu (preferably0.01-18 wt%), or furthermore comprises Sn (preferably 0.05-10 wt%). The preparing method for the reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle is the method for preparing the reduction-precipitation spherical NiP particle having constituent with Ni as the main body and P by mixing the mixed water solution composed of water solution of nickel slat, pH regulator and pH buffer with phosphorous water solution of reductant and reducing and precipitating the mixture, wherein =the water solution of nickel slat is prepared by the alkaline method of selecting materials having Cu (preferable mol ratio of Ni/Cu= 4.0-10000) or furthermore having Sn (preferable mol ratio of Ni/Sn=2.0-2000), and mixing thematerials to make the pH value exceeds 7 when reduction-precipitation begins. |
