PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling a junction member to be easily positioned with respect to a belt-like member while the belt-like member is transported.SOLUTION: A joining device 100 joins a gas diffusion layer 7 to a first catalyst electrode layer 2 of a belt-like body 5r in which joined bodies 5 continue in a belt-like shape while transporting the belt-like body 5r. A control part 101 of the joining device 100 obtains a time (detection time t) at which a tip 3e of a second catalyst electrode layer 3 disposed on the belt-like body 5r passes through a detection point DP based on a detection signal of a catalyst layer detecting part 130. The control part 101 obtains a time (joining position arrival time t) at which the gas diffusion layer 7 is made to arrival at compression points PP of joining rollers 152 based on the detection time t. The control part 101 causes a transfer 141 to start transportation of the gas diffusion layer 7 at a transportation start time tobtained based on the joining position arrival time tand a predetermined speed pattern of the transfer 141. |
