PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing deformation of a fixing belt and a pressure roller due to a difference in temperature.SOLUTION: A heating member 23 is formed of a plurality of heating elements 32 arranged in a width direction of a recording medium. Supply of power to the respective heating elements 32 is controlled so that when an unfixed image on paper P that passes through a nip part N has an image area and a non-image area, of the plurality of heating elements 32, a temperature of an image area heating element 32X corresponding to the image area X is increased, and a temperature of a non-image area heating element 32Y corresponding to the non-image area Y is decreased. When three or more non-image area heating elements 32Y are present adjacent with one another, the supply power to the respective non-image area heating elements 32Y is gradually increased as closer to the image area X. |
