PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a signal transmitter and signal transmission method capable of extending a signal transmission distance.SOLUTION: The signal transmitter is provided with a signal point group setting device 7 for selecting some signal point among signal points mapped by a modulation method setting device 6. An amplitude phase distribution calculation unit 8 calculates a combination of excitation amplitude phase distributions in which the amplitude and phase of each of the signal points selected by the signal point group setting device 7 and the electric field amplitude and electric field phase in a desired direction of element antennas 5-1 to 5-N of an array antenna when they are excited correlate with each other. An amplitude phase distribution control device 9 time-switches a set value for phase shifters 3-1 to 3-4 and amplifiers 4-1 to 4-4. |
