PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface magnet rotor in which the magnet torque can be enhanced and the reluctance torque can be utilized effectively, while facilitating the positioning of a segment magnet in the circumferential direction.SOLUTION: A rotor core 12 is formed of a first rotor core 121 having a first protrusion forming a cavity between the circumferential end of a segment magnet 11, and a second rotor core 122 having a second protrusion, the inner part of which is abutting against the segment magnet 11, and a cavity is formed between the outer part and the circumferential end of the segment magnet 11.
