PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch sensor which includes a plurality of detection electrodes and is capable of surely detecting proximity or contact of a human body to one detection electrode even in a noisy environment.SOLUTION: A touch sensor 1 includes a plurality of juxtaposed detection electrodes 2 and detects proximity or contact of a human body to one of the detection electrodes and includes: a measurement circuit 3 which measures an amount of electricity corresponding to an electrostatic capacity generated in each detection electrode; temporary determination means 42 which temporarily determines proximity or contact of a human body in accordance with a measurement value measured by the measurement circuit, with a detection sensitivity set to each detection electrode; and control means 43 which provides a prescribed noise determination period starting at the time when proximity or contact of the human body to one detection electrode is temporarily determined by the temporary determination means, and determines proximity or contact of the human body to the one detection electrode if proximity or contact of the human body to the other detection electrodes is not temporarily determined within the noise determination period with higher detection sensitivities by the temporary determination means. |
