<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform, when combining plural images obtained on the basis of different exposure times, reducing an adverse effect caused by an occlusion region, and compensating tone mapping effects separately for regions.SOLUTION: A subject region detector 204 detects a predetermined plural number of subject regions in respective plural images, and a by-region brightness calculator 205 calculates the brightness of each of the subject regions detected by the subject region detector 204. An occlusion region detector 206 detects an occlusion region that is generated when at least two images among the plural images are combined, and determines images to be combined from among the plural images in accordance with the occlusion region and the brightness. An image composer 209 composes a composite image by performing composing processing on the images determined by the occlusion region detector 206.</p> |
