PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character recognition system capable of recognizing a character displayed on the display of a computer with high probability.SOLUTION: A character recognition system 1 for recognizing a character displayed on a display 30 of a computer includes: a storage device 122 for, as for the combination of a predetermined display font and a character size, recording a recognition dictionary having information related to the arrangement of dots composing each character having the display font and the character size; and a character recognition part 25 for extracting a character completely matching the information related to the arrangement of dots composing a recognition object character displayed on the display 30 by referring to the recognition dictionary to specify the recognition object character. |
