PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder collection device for collecting a volume of powdery corresponding to a desired weight in order to collect the desired weight of powder, which has high reliability to be able to reduce variance in weight of collected powder.SOLUTION: A powder collection device 10 comprises: a cylinder 21; a cylinder driving unit 30; a pressure application unit 40; and a detection unit. The cylinder has a first opening 22a in a first end thereof. The cylinder driving unit moves the cylinder toward a container C having powder P stored therein to insert the cylinder into the powder in the container from the side of a first end part 22 where the first opening is formed. Further, the cylinder driving unit moves the cylinder away from the container to extract the cylinder from the powder in the container through the opening together with powder in the cylinder. The pressure application unit applies a pressure to the powder in the cylinder inserted from the first opening in a state where the first end part of the cylinder is inserted in the powder in the container. The detection unit detects the magnitude of the pressure applied to the powder by the pressure application unit.
