The invention relates to a process for producing maleic acid-isoprenol copolymers made of a) from 30 to 80% by weight of maleic acid, b) from 5 to 60% by weight of isoprenol, c) from 0 to 30% by weight of one or more other ethylenically unsaturated monomers, by polymerizing maleic acid, isoprenol and optionally the other ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of a redox-chemistry initiator and of a regulator at a temperature in the range from 10 to 80°C. |
