PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus configured to prevent lubricant for reducing frictional force between a belt member and a nip part forming member from being exhausted with time.SOLUTION: A lubricant supply member 30 holding lubricant inside supplies the lubricant to a surface part 24d via a passage 24e formed in a nip part forming member 24, by means of capillary phenomenon. When the lubricant is supplied to the surface part 24d, the nip part forming member 24 supplies the lubricant to the surface part 24d and a low-friction sheet 29 in contact with a fixing belt 21. The lubricant is supplied by the lubricant supply member 30. A fixing apparatus 20 allows the low-friction sheet 29 to always hold the lubricant, and reduces frictional force to be generated between an inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt 21 and the nip part forming member 24 at a nip part. |
